About Adrienne
Writer. Reader. Listener. Learner.
I have always thought of myself as a writer. This is largely because writing is the easiest way for me to communicate. It's also because my mouth moves a million miles a minute trying to keep up with my head. Writing – or typing – my words helps me slow down.

I started this blog my sophomore year of college as a requirement for a class during my study abroad program. I quickly realized how natural it felt to keep an organized collection of my thoughts. The assigned prompts didn't feel like homework, but rather an extension of my everyday experiences. Now, I use this as my external hard drive.

For me, writing is all about telling a story. I've never found it easy to describe myself, so having a record like this, it's easy to look back and see my change and growth, my interests, my highs and lows. I could say that I'm from Columbus, Ohio and am currently living and working in Chicago. That my college major was Professional Writing and I love nature and music. Or that I'm a Gemini, a fake blonde, an avid solitaire player, and an over-thinker. But I'd rather have people read my stories. That's the best way to get to know me.
